On Monday night, Ligue 1's Matchday 32 continues with LOSC Lille hosting Olympique Lyonnais at Stade Pierre Mauroy as they look to leapfrog Stade Brestois for third place.

Lille are closing out the 2023-24 season in impressive fashionPaulo Fonseca and his team have won four of their last five league matches, including wins over Olympique de Marseille and RC LensLes Dogues are battling in their last three matches to solidify their spot in next season's UEFA Champions League.

After Brest's scoreless draw on Saturday against FC Nantes, a win over Lyon would allow Lille to overtake them for third place. Still, securing three points against OL won't be easy, considering their current form, which has allowed them to distance themselves from a relegation battle.

Les Gones have won four of their last five matches across all competitions with wins over AS Monaco and Brest. A win over Lille will move OL into seventh place and into a UEFA Europe Conference League spot for next season. Lyon also look to finish in the top half of the table and build positive momentum for their Coupe de France Final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 25.

Monday's meeting between OL and Lille will be the 100th Ligue 1 match between the two teams. Lille have a slight edge with 37 wins while Lyon have 34 wins with there also being 28 draws. This contest will also be the third match that these two teams have played this season with both teams having a victory.

LOSC defeated Lyon 2-0 last November with goals from Jonathan David and Tiago Santos to secure all three points. Pierre Sage and his team would get their revenge with a 2-1 win in the Coup de France on February 7 with goals from Gift Orban and Rayan Cherki that would eliminate Lille from the competition.

Both teams will be vying for the second win in the season series as they continue their impressive run to end the 2023-24 campaign.
