Coupe de France, quarter-finals
Evian Thonon-Gaillard FC 1 - 1 Paris Saint-Germain (Evian win 4-1 on penalties after extra-time)
Pascal Dupraz (Evian coach): "We hung in there and we qualified. We're one match away from the Stade de France and I think we're dreaming. Ever since the Round of 64 game against Amiens in January I'd told the lads we were going to go to the Stade de France. You need a bit of luck along the way. I think we played well in the first half but suffered afterwards. We've knocked out PSG and we're sorry about that, but we too wanted to go to the Stade de France! We hope this qualification will help us stay in Ligue 1 and that we can achieve both things."
Carlo Ancelotti (Paris Saint-Germain coach): "You can lose a game but tonight we didn't show any character. We were a bit full of ourselves and misplaced too many passes, lost the ball too easily. Tonight was a disaster and our worst match of the season. The attitude of the team wasn't right. Some players played for themselves and tried difficult things. I'm angry with the whole team. When the team is focused we've managed to play great games, like against Barcelona. The season's not over and we need to give everything in every latch. Evian's attitude was good and they deserve to be in the semi-finals. If your team doesn't show the right attitude then it's the coach's fault."
RC Lens 2-3 Girondins de Bordeaux
Eric Sikora (Lens coach) : "The free-kick equaliser hit us hard. Even if they were in control in the second half they really hurt us from set-pieces. There's a lot of disappointment because we weren't far away from pulling it off. There was a lot of emotion and a full house. Football in Lens is not dead. The young players put in a high level performance. We caused Bordeaux problems and that's what we have to take out of this match."
Francis Gillot (Bordeaux coach): "We put ourselves in trouble by not starting the match well. We played poorly in the first half and paid for it. We woke up in the second half and scored three goals before giving ourselves a fright in the last ten minutes. We have the art of knowing how to make life difficult for ourselves. We'll have to play better in the semi-final if we want to qualify for the final. Lens' young side gave a lot. We didn't show much intent or determination but we're happy to have gone through."
Semi-final draw (ties to be played on May 7 and 8):
Troyes v Bordeaux
Evian v Lorient
