Bakayoko replaces Pogba for France

Les Bleus

AS Monaco midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko has been called up by France for the first time, replacing the injured Paul Pogba in the squad for this month's 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier with Luxembourg and friendly against Spain.

Bakayoko, who scored the decisive third goal in Monaco's UEFA Champions League Last 16 second-leg win over Manchester City on Wednesday, was named on Saturday as the replacement for Manchester Untied man Pogba.

The ex-Stade Rennais FC man, who has 13 Under-21 caps, becomes the fifth member of the Ligue 1 leader's squad to be included after Benjamin Mendy, Djibril Sidibé, Thomas Lemar and Kylian Mbappé were named in the original 24-strong selection by coach Didier Deschamps on Thursday.
