Stéphane Moulin (Angers SCO coach): "It's always cruel when you lose. We were one minute away from extra-time. I have two words: disappointment - because when you lose, you're always disappointed - and pride - because the players turned in a performance that lived up to their potential. We were up against opponents who are clearly superior but who struggled to show it tonight. We knew they would control possession. We gave them a different look and made them doubt themselves and in the end they were extremely relieved by our own-goal. But that's not what I'm taking away from this. For me it's about the excellent season my lads had, and the progress the club made. And when I see all these people from Angers being so proud of their team… we didn't win the Coupe de France but we did win something - our fans' esteem at the very least. Tonight our honour is safe."

Unai Emery (Paris Saint-Germain coach): "Tonight it was important to win. Next we'll analyse what we need to improve or change to do better in the other competitions - the league and the Champions League. I'm a very self-critical person, but I'm staying calm. I have had lots of good moments and not-so-good moments in my career and I've learnt that in order to keep making progress, you will inevitably face tough moments. For me, everything is a positive as you can learn from it. In the league, our points tally would normally have meant taking the title. Next season, there will be Monaco, Lyon, Marseille and Lille too with [coach Marcelo] Bielsa, who will improve the team. It's good for the league. It will make things tougher but that's great if you want to be more competitive and it gives a good image. Other countries are looking at France and recognizing that it's a strong league."

Maxwell (Paris Saint-Germain defender): "It was very moving. Thiago Silva decided to give me the honour of raising the cup. It's magnificent. All I can do is thank all the players. All the words and gestures were very moving, very special. I don't know whether I'll be back. Tonight [Saturday], I'll celebrate because we've finished the season with a trophy and that's awesome. After that, I'll talk to the club. But even if I don't end up working for the club, it will remain in my heart for ever. [On the match] We suffered right to the end. I think we played very well in the second half. We took our time and moved the ball around. Angers were very dangerous on the counter. We scored in the last minute and that was enough to win - it has a special flavour. It was a tough match, as all finals are."

Nasser Al-Khelaifi (Paris Saint-Germain president): "It was very important to finish the season with a trophy. It's the 11th Coupe de France for us. It hasn't been our best season, but we have still managed to win three trophies. It's not bad, even if we would have hoped for more. We're happy this evening. We're proud. The match wasn't easy. Congratulations to Angers, they played really well. We suffered right to the last minute."

Serge Aurier (Paris Saint-Germain defender): "We knew Angers are a brave team. They have to be congratulated, because they have had a great season and they fought well this evening. Luck was on our side. This trophy is very important, because everything hasn't gone well this season, but we have been fortunate to win trophies, and this one is all the more important! It's going in the trophy cabinet. You learn from everything, and we'll learn from this season, but we're still going to enjoy this trophy. Once again congratulations to Angers, we take our hats off to them and we're happy to have played them in this final."

Marco Verratti (Paris Saint-Germain midfielder): "We knew it would be a very tight game. Finals are always difficult. We created quite a few chances, but we lacked a cutting edge. We're very happy to have picked up this trophy. It was a goal, we fulfilled it. It's not easy to win the Coupe de France, especially three years in a row. It's a victory for the whole team. We didn't win the league. We always want to win everything, but that's not possible in football. The first three or four months were difficult. Since January, we've done well. We lost against Barcelona and Nice, but we have improved, and that augurs well for next year."
