Deschamps: PSG's Real challenge 'doable'
France coach Didier Deschamps believes that Paris Saint-Germain can overcome their 3-1 first-leg deficit against Real Madrid when they clash in the return leg of their round of 16 tie at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, March 6.
Although Paris now have a two-goal disadvantage on aggregate - having let in two late goals at the Santiago Bernabeu - Deschamps feels that the capital club played well and have every chance of turning things around at the Parc des Princes in a fortnight's time.
"There is the performance and then there is the result," Deschamps told Breaking Foot on French radio station SFR Sport. "Paris showed a lot of good things before the final 20 minutes. "The third goal could have heavy consequences, obviously, but I sincerely think that, for Paris, it's still doable."
Other fairly large fish to fry
Before Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery - who has also been vocal about his belief in turning the situation around - has not one but two clashes with arch-rivals Olympique de Marseille to attend to. The historical bugbears clash first in this Sunday's Ligue 1 Conforama Classique at the Parc des Princes before doing it all again in the Coupe de France quarter-finals three days later.
