Garande: 'Very, very proud'
SM Caen coach Patrice Garande was thrilled after his side trumped OL 1-0 and booked the club's first-ever place in the Coupe de France semi-finals - against PSG - while Lyon 'keeper Anthony Lopes was bitterly disappointed.

Coupe de France, quarter-finals
Stade Michel d'Ornano, Caen
SM Caen 1 - 0 Olympique Lyonnais
Patrice Garande (SM Caen coach): "I'm very, very proud of the players. We got what we wanted. The lads never gave up. They kept believing, and that was the theme of our preparations for this match. Matches like this one are decided by mentality; it's about desire. We pushed on Lyon's weaknesses more than they pushed on their strengths. We're not thinking about the semi-final against PSG yet. There is plenty of time. The main thing is that we're into the semis. We should make the most of it, as it has never happened for Stade Malherbe before."
Anthony Lopes (Olympique Lyonnais 'keeper): "We're incredibly disappointed. We could have achieved something quite great. But we can't reproach ourselves for how we played - we played the match we needed to; we just couldn't score the goal we needed. We knew they were strong from set pieces, but still it's hard to take, especially coming late on as the goal did. We lacked the cutting edge to hope for more. It's hard to accept, but the damage is done. Even though we have been saying it for a while now, we need to bounce back and not give up."
