Coupe de France, quarter-finals
Stade Michel d'Ornano, Caen
SM Caen - Olympique Lyonnais - kick-off at 21:00 CET
Olympique Lyonnais have been going through a rough patch of late, with two defeats in a winless league run of five matches, so Thursday's Coupe de France quarter-final comes as a breath of fresh air for Bruno Genesio's men as they travel to Normandy to take on Caen.
OL will be without captain Nabil Fekir and top scorer Mariano Diaz, who both picked up injuries in Sunday's 1-1 Rhône Derby draw at home to Satin-Etienne. This should see youth academy graduate Myzian Maolida handed a rare start at centre-forward - flanked by Maxwel Cornet and Memphis Depay - in front of a home-grown midfield three of Lucas Tousart, Houssem Aouar and Jordan Ferri.
Meanwhile SM Caen are also out to stop a skid - their last win in all competitions came four matches ago in the Coupe de France round of 16, 3-2 on penalties over FC Metz - and boss Patrice Garande is set to go all-out to book a place in the semis.
Although the Normandy club have Ligue 1 Conforama's least-prolific attack, Garande is tipped to go with an attacking trio of Ivan Santini, Ronny Rodelin and Enzo Crivelli in a 4-3-3 formation at some point during the match. This constellation paid dividends in the 3-2 home win over Nantes in Week 24, and could be the key to breaking down an OL defence earning a reputation for late lapses.
