UEFA Champions League, Matchday 1 - Group B

Celtic Park, Glasgow

Celtic  0 - 5  Paris Saint-Germain

Brendan Rodgers (Celtic FC manager): "You have to look after the ball and make it work for you and, first half, we didn't do that - we played like U12s at times. But, with all due respect, where these guys are at it's not just one or two levels, it's three or four levels beyond us. Defensively, we were just too far off them, not tight enough and not close enough. If you do that against what is arguably the best team in the world then they will punish you. But you also have to give credit to them - this is a team that is really special. They are going to be close to winning it for sure."

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi (Paris Saint-Germain president): "We put in a very good display tonight, especially in the first half. To win 5-0 away from home is a great start to the Champions League, the ideal scenario. The players have worked well, it's the perfect result for their motivation. I'm very happy this evening. The team had one objective coming here: winning and taking advantage of every opportunity to score. The atmosphere this evening was absolutely magnificent. It was an honour for us to play on this iconic pitch. It was superb to play here."

Neymar Jr (Paris Saint-Germain forward): "We're really happy with the performance and the result. It's a good win and very important for the rest of the competition and the season. There is a good understanding between us in attack, but it's easier to play with great players, it's always fun. It makes everyone's work easier."
