Paris Saint-Germain were left wondering what might have been after the club's elimination from the Europa League as focus now switches to domestic matters.

Leonardo (PSG Sporting Director): "We are out and it was one of our objectives, we haven't qualified and it is disappointing. We played a good match but Salzburg picked up the three points so there wasn't much we could do. We are second in the league but have been knocked out of two competitions and being eliminated is not good. We wanted to go all the way and now we will miss out on playing at this level and playing against some of the best teams around."
Antoine Kombouaré (PSG coach): "It's a huge disappointment because we were good enough to get through. Now we have to keep moving forward and draw on this victory. It's a third consecutive victory and that's the best possible way to prepare for the Lille match on Sunday. It was a fiercely contested match that Bilbao wanted to win at all costs. I congratulated the players for the win. Now we have to get over the disappointment of being eliminated and focus on Sunday's game. I'm expecting a huge reaction and a win against Lille."
Siaka Tiéné (PSG defender): "We really wanted to qualify this evening, but we exit the competition with our heads held high after this win. That's what we'll take from this game, even if it's a shame to have missed out on the round of 32. It's our third win in a row and we have maintained the positive run into the Lille match."
Guillaume Hoarau (PSG striker): "We will always have regrets and the squad is a bit down but now our objective is to qualify for the Champions League next season. In Ligue 1 we are the joint leaders and we won't give up our position without a fight as we approach the last two matches before the winter break."
Hoarau on his goal: "Nenê wanted to take it [the penalty] but then he saw that I was in good shape. It was almost an assist from him! Of course I am really happy, I was watching from the stands for three months and it wasn't easy but I worked hard to get back."
