Unai Emery (PSG coach):
"We needed to win this title. Playing this final against Monaco let us show how much we've grown. There was a great atmosphere in a full stadium. When you work well, following guiding principles, the reward necessarily comes. I'm happy to win the trophy and to put in a great performance against a team like Monaco. It was very different to the games against them in the league [Monaco beat OSG 3-1 in Week 3 before a 1-1 draw in Week 22]. It's good for motivation and confidence. We'll keep working so that we're ready to seize any opportunity Monaco give us to catch them in the league."

Thiago Silva (PSG captain): "When we play with the personality we showed today, it's hard for any team to play against us, even Monaco. If we play like that, with quality and personality, I think we can do positive things. Against Barca we weren't our usual selves [PSG were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Barcelona after a 6-5 aggregate loss in the last 16]. It was hard to digest that loss but today it's a party. We succeeded because we work hard. Football isn't always fair but today PSG played well and deserved to win this title. We have eight games left to play in the league. Monaco have to draw twice or lose and draw, because they've scored a lot of goals, but we'll catch them in the end."

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi (PSG president): "I think we're still the top cub in France. Sometimes we're a little sick, but today we showed the real PSG. We have great players, a great club, and a great coach - that we do not forget. I'm very happy to have won this game. Against Monaco, it was very special, and important psychologically, too. Our season starts now. We have a lot of confidence for the league."

Edinson Cavani (PSG striker): "We're here to win titles. That's why this evening was a lot of fun. Playing a great game like tonight, after playing international football, is reason for satisfaction. It illustrates the unity in our team. We played a great match, with humility, hard work and sacrifice."

Marco Verratti (PSG midfielder): "We had some difficult times, but we didn't let go. We confirmed that we're a great team. I think this victory is deserved, and we can celebrate a little. In four years, we've won everything. We are a great team. It is a victory for the whole group. The league title is our goal. We're going to play hard and with heart."

Blaise Matuidi (PSG midfielder): "Winning 4-1 is beautiful, especially against a good team like Monaco, who are still in the Champions League. We had good control of the ball and we created a lot of chances. We showed our quality. We're happy to win the second trophy of the year after the Trophée des Champions. There are more to come. If you look at the table, since January, we've been really good. At PSG the aim is to win trophies, and tonight is one more."

Leonardo Jardim (Monaco coach): "Today the Coupe de la Ligue is over. Our goal as to win it and not just to play the final. For many of our young players it was the first time they had played a final. It's an experience. We'll also try to reach the final of the Coupe de France. Perhaps we'll be better prepared for that. Paris are more used to playing finals with experienced players. We had four competitions to play with the will to win them all. It's been seven years since Monaco played in a final. PSG were the better team today."

Kylian Mbappé (Monaco striker): "We started too timidly. Against a team like Paris that doesn't get forgiven. It's disappointing. We didn't live up to the event. We're not going to lie: it's hard, but it's over. We wanted to make history in winning the Coupe de la Ligue but it's Paris who won. Ligue 1 is a different competition. I'm not so under the radar any more. People are going to be ready for how I play and it's up to me to prove my quality. I like playing against guys like Thiago Silva. It helps me learn and I'll become a better player as a result."

Vadim Vasilyev (Monaco vice-president): "When you play in the final, it's to win. But Paris were stronger tonight, we must acknowledge that. PSG is to be congratulated on this totally deserved victory. It wasn't our best game. But tomorrow, we will focus on our main objective, which remains the league. I repeat, this Monaco's priority. We also play the Champions League and the Coupe de France, which are bonuses. I don't think this will have an impact on the run-in. It was an important game but it was only one game. You cannot win them all. I'm convinced the end of the season can be really beautiful."
