Coupe de la Ligue, Round of 32

EA Guingamp 0 - 2 Montpellier Hérault SC

Antoine Kombouaré (EA Guingamp coach): "I have to call it like it is: we got a real slap in the face tonight. Actually it could have been much worse than 2-0. We really blew it, and me most of all, because I fielded a side I thought could take us through to the next round, and that wasn't the case. Congratulations to Montpellier, they played a great match. Now what's important is our capacity to bounce back, even though this wasn't the best way to prepare for the game at home to Amiens on Sunday."

Michel Der Zakarian (Montpellier Hérault SC coach): "We played a good match, a serious match, and we controlled things well. I think that we deserved the win given the match as a whole. In the first half, we scored from a set piece but we also had chances in open play and if we had been a bit more clinical, we could have widened the scoreline. In the second half, they three or four chances, but we managed to hit them on the counter and score our second just as they were looking good."

 FC Lorient 0 - 1 SM Caen

Mickaël Landreau (FC Lorient coach): "We can't be satisfied after being eliminated. The cup is always special. Tonight it was all about cutting edge, about taking your chances. We'll learn our lesson. We had chances right up until the 94th minute. We played the match we wanted to play and we made things tough for them. Their goalkeeper Brice Samba made the crucial save, the save that saw them through to the next round. Whatever the match, I give it all I have, and whatever the scenario, you have to bounce back. We're disappointed and frustrated but it's important to get back on track - as of Saturday, when we're ck on league duties."

Patrice Garande (SM Caen coach): "We didn't play a good match, but we’re focusing on the fact that we qualified and that we gave our all to make the difference. Lorient posed us a lot of problems - they're one of the favourites to take the Ligue 2 title this season - so it was no surprise. It's great for Brice Samba, who had a huge match. The more games we play in this competition, the more game time he gets."
