Di Maria still a chance for final
Paris Saint-Germain coach Unai Emery and his staff are yet to rule Angel Di Maria - injured on duty with Argentina - out for the Coupe de la Ligue final against AS Monaco at the Matmut Atlantique in Bordeaux on Saturday night.
Di Maria returned from international duties with a thigh strain and as such did not train on Wednesday. However, Unai Emery and his staff do not consider the ultra-talented forward to be out of contention for a place in the squad for Saturday.
Rather, they hope that the Argentine - who has bagged 14 goals in all competitions in 2018 - will be fit to play and shoulder his responsibilities in the continued injury absence of superstar Neymar, who is out of action with a broken foot.
Paris will have a final training session on Thursday before making the trip south to Bordeaux on Friday, and it is expected that Di Mari's fitness will be re-assessed at that time.
On Wednesday, most of the capital club's international had a rest day, but Edinson Cavani was at the club's Camp des Loges training centre, as was Kylian Mbappé, dealing with a non-threatening knock to a foot picked up as he bagged two goals in France's 3-1 friendly win over Russia on Tuesday night.
