Coupe de la Ligue semi-final
Girondins de Bordeaux 1 - 4 Paris Saint-Germain
Jocelyn Gourvennec (Bordeaux coach): "Paris made their class tell. We gave our all, had them doubting for a spell, but it was not enough. We need not be ashamed, it is not a disgrace to be knocked out by Paris. To have beaten them would have been an exploit. We believed in ourselves but they punished us. The match was quite even up to the hour mark and yet in the end we lost by what seems like a harsh scoreline but underlines the precision of this Paris team. A half-chance and they put it away. We are disappointed to lose in the semi-finals but it was Paris and it was too tough for us. I hope we manage to beat them in just under two weeks in the league."
Unai Emery (Paris Saint-Germain coach): "I think the team played well and deserved the win. After the first half they kept working and had the patience to wait for the chances to come. We want to compete for every trophy and win every title possible. We have a lot of matches to play and we will need all our players. (Against Monaco) it will be a great match. Our objective is to win because right now they are top of the table."
