Coupe de la Ligue, Round of 32
EA Guingamp 0 - 2 Montpellier Hérault SC
Montpellier stretched their unbeaten run to six matches in all competitions as they put an unanswered two goals past EA Guingamp to book a place in the Coupe de la Ligue's round of 16.
Evergreen Senegal striker Souleymane Camara (20') and Chad international Casimir Ninga (71') got the goals for Michel Der Zakarian's side as central defender Pedro Mendes marshalled his five-man backline to excellent effect, shutting out the home side and condemning them to a second defeat in a row in all competitions - and an early exit from the competition.
FC Lorient 0 - 1 SM Caen
Meanwhile snapped their two-match losing streak in all competitions with a succinct away win away to Ligue 2 side FC Lorient. The hosts pushed hard to equalise in the second half after 26-year-old Ivorian striker Christian Kouakou had struck just before the break (43'), but Brice Samba in the Caen goal proved decisive and secured the Normandy side a place in the round of 16.
