Pancrate sees PSG through
Paris St Germain are through to the last 16 of the League Cup after Fabrice Pancrate's goal proved enough for the reigning champions to beat Monaco on Wednesday.

AS Monaco FC / Paris Saint-Germain : 0 - 1
PSG boss Paul Le Guen abandoned his habitual caution away from home, employing Peguy Luyindula and Mateja Kezman in a forward-thinking 4-4-2. The former Rennes boss was rewarded with a lively display from his side, though PSG keeper Mickaël Landreau had to be at his best to maintain the advantage afforded by Pancrate's 34th-minute strike.
The former Le Mans striker - who had been named in the starting line-up just once this season prior to arriving at the Stade Louis II - sneaked unmarked into the Monaco box, crashing home a shot after Luyindula had intelligently dummied Jérôme Rothen's cross.
Jerko Leko and Freddy Adu - making his first start of the season - were both frustrated by Landreau in the second half, though Kezman and Rothen both had chances to ease PSG's passage into the next round.
