In a replay of last season's final, Paris will play host to Lens in the pick of the quarter-final draw announced on Tuesday evening.

In the presence of LFP president Frédéric Thiriez, former Ligue 1 coach and France international Luis Fernández conducted the draw for the quarter-finals of the 2008-9 League Cup on his RMC radio show Luis Attaque.

In a dramatic twist of fate, reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain have been drawn to host RC Lens, a replay of last season's tumultuous final. Bordeaux will be favourites in their match at home to L2 side Chateauroux while Nice take on fellow L1 side Le Havre at the Stade du Ray. In an all-L2 battle, Metz will be put to the test away to Vannes.

While Paris and Bordeaux are the two most fancied sides still in the competition, there is no chance that they will meet in the final - should they both win their quarter-finals, one of the two sides would be eliminated when they face off in the semis.
