Bielsa urges Lille to improve

Marcelo Bielsa has acknowledged his LOSC Lille side need to "show a different face" against ESTAC Troyes on Saturday if they are to climb out of the relegation zone.

The Argentine coach's reign in northern France started well with a 3-0 defeat of FC Nantes in Week 1.

But while Claudio Ranieri's men have bounced back spectacularly, Lille's fall from grace has been equally remarkable with just two points coming from the following six matches.

With just five points so far, Lille sit third-from-bottom heading into Week 9, and Bielsa is aware the situation must change.

"We need to show a different face and show something else to be consistent during the season," said Bielsa, whose side were leading 1-0 at Amiens SC last time out before the game was abandoned due to a stadium barrier collapsing.

"Even if we had won at Amiens the need for success would have been same for the match against Troyes. We can't deny that a significant series of good displays will reduce the anxiety around the team."
