Evian TG FC 1 - 0 FC Lorient
Pascal Dupraz (Evian coach): "This victory will do us good, just like the nine other wins we have had since the start of the season. Thirty-two points will not be enough for us to stay up, so I hope we don't take our foot off the gas again like we have had a tendency to do from time to time in the past. All of France knows that Lorient are superior to us, which is normal considering they have a bigger budget and have been in Ligue 1 a lot longer. After opening the scoring we let them have possession, which proves that how much possession you have is not a gauge of success. It is a shame that we don't play in Italy, because otherwise people would have said tonight that I was a great tactician. We have five points more than at the same stage of last season, but my wish is for us to get to 40 points as soon as possible."
Sylvain Ripoll (Lorient coach): "It is really disappointing that we didn't take at least a point, because I thought we should have done. We lacked clarity and quality and complicated things for ourselves on a difficult surface. We chased the game in the second half without finding a way back into it. Nevertheless, I see matches like this every weekend and we can get points from such games. It was an important match, but there will be plenty more to come."
