'Excited' Beckham confirmed in PSG squad
David Beckham has revealed his excitement at the prospect of making his Paris Saint-Germain debut against OM, as the Englishman is confirmed in the Ligue 1 leaders' squad for the game.
Beckham has been named in a 19-man PSG squad, meaning there is not yet any certainty that he will even be on the bench at the Parc des Princes. However, the 37-year-old Englishman admits the prospect of making his Ligue 1 bow in the biggest fixture of the season, against Olympique de Marseille in Le Classique, is a mouth-watering one.
"I have played in a lot of big matches in my career, games like AC Milan against Inter, Real Madrid against Barcelona, and the (Los Angeles) Galaxy against Chivas," Beckham told PSG's official website. "For me, it is very exciting to play in another very special match."
While Beckham makes the cut for the game, coach Carlo Ancelotti is still without Thiago Motta. In addition, Brazilian centre-back Thiago Silva is still sidelined, having not yet overcome the thigh injury that has sidelined him for more than a month.
