Falcao: Early bird gets the worm!
AS Monaco's Colombia striker Radamel Falcao has won the TAG Heuer trophy for the fastest Ligue 1 Conforama goal in December.
Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco) takes the title from Andy Delort (Toulouse FC)! El Tigre's goal against Angers SCO, which came after just one minute and 39 seconds, was the fastest in Ligue 1 Conforama in the month of December. In the Week 16 clash, the veteran fox in the box quickly sensed the opportunity and got there first to head home Djibril Sidibé's curling cross.
Despite having amassed a total of 48 goals from 68 Ligue 1 Conforama appearances, Falcao had never scored so quickly in France's top flight, but he had scored another in the first five minutes of a match, getting one up on Dijon FCO in the third minute of their Week 2 clash.
Falcao was presented with his trophy at the Coupe de la Ligue semi-final between AS Monaco and Montpellier Hérault SC at the Stade Louis II on Wednesday, January 31. The Colombian is the second AS Monaco player to receive a TAG Heuer trophy this season after stopper Kamil Glik got the gong for his goal after just 69 seconds against Olympique de Marseille.
