AS Monaco captain and top scorer Radamel Falcao will be out of action for at least a fortnight after picking up a thigh injury in the principality club's thrilling 3-2 league win at home to Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday.

The Colombian international struck his 17th of the season to level the scores at 2-2 in Monaco's ten-man come-from-behind win, but soon after his goal he was forced off injured and he will now be out of action for "two to three weeks", according to the club's official website.

Red-hot form

This means that the in-form striker - who has five goals in his last six appearances in all competitions - will be absent as Leonardo Jardim's men travel to Angers on Saturday looking to catch Marseille, who sit a point ahead in second place, and maintain or extend their two-point lead over fourth-placed Lyon. He will also be out of action for the visit of Dijon in Week 26 and possibly for Week 27's trip to Toulouse.

Meanwhile 'keepr Danijel Subasic, also injured in the Lyon clash, continues to receive treatment for his own thigh complaint, but the good news for Jardim is the return to training of Djibril Sisbé, Rachid Ghezzal, Thomas Lemar and Adama Diakhaby.
