Lille bounced back from their 5-4 defeat against Bordeaux ten days ago with a gritty 1-0 win away to Lorient on Saturday and coach Rudi Garcia wants more of the same.
"It is normal to think that things will continue to go well and we will carry on winning without going beyond what needs to be done, said Garcia, who after Lille's elimination from the Coupe de France last month, has just the league to concentrate on. "We need to remember the mindset we had before the Lorient game and I expect my players to be as united and determined [on Wednesday]."
Sochaux strength at home
The Stade Bonal, however, has not been a happy hunting ground for Lille of late. The northerners' last win at Sochaux came back in season 2004-05 (2-0), since then the home side have won just once and there have been five draws, including the last time the pair met in August 2010 (0-0). A win for LOSC , though, would see them close the gap to five and six points on second placed Montpellier and leaders PSG respectively.
Meanwhile Sochaux, rock-bottom of the table with 20 points, have not won since their surprise 2-1 triumph against Olympique Lyonnais in Week 13. To make matters worse the easterners were eliminated from the Coupe de France by Ligue 2 side Bastia in early January and have scored just one league goal in four matches in 2012 (in the 1-1 draw against Lorient in Week 21).
Probable teams
Sochaux: Cros - Corchia, Perquis (c), Peybernes, Sauget ; Banana; Boudebouz, Martin, Nogueira (or Roudet); Privat, Butin
Lille: Landreau; Debuchy, Cetto, Chedjou, Béria ; Mavuba (c), Gueye, Pedretti; Payet, Roux, Hazard

Saint-Etienne are in great form at the moment having thrashed Stade Rennais 4-0 at the weekend to build on the Week 21 1-0 win against Toulouse FC. Three more points for Les Verts would see them move up to fourth, leapfrogging Marseille and, perhaps more importantly given the local rivalry, Lyon.
That would put ASSE in the mix for a European qualification spot for next season, something Jérémy Clément is targeting.
"We want Europe, that is certain, but it is still far off," said the midfielder. "There is a lot of expectation amongst the fans but we need to keep our feet on the ground."
Revenge mission
Saint-Etienne will also be out for revenge after Lorient won the reverse fixture in Week 6, goals from, the former Arsenal starlet, Jérémie Aliadière (2) and Mathieu Coutadour saw the Brittany side ease to a 3-0 victory.
Probable teams
Saint-Etienne: Ruffier; Ebonbo, Mignot, Marchal (c), Brison; Nicolita, Lemoine, Clément, Sako ; Gradel, Aubameyang
Lorient: Lecomte; Gassama, Koné, Ecuele Manga, Mareque; Monnet-Paquet, Romao (c), Mvuemba, Barthelmé; Douniama, Emeghara
