'MCN' all out for Paris in Troyes
It is not just Neymar Jr who will miss Paris Saint-Germain's Week 28 game at ESTAC Troyes, but all of their superstar front three.
Neymar has travelled back to his native Brazil, where he was due to undergo surgery on his injured right foot on Saturday in Belo Horizonte.
Meanwhile, with the UEFA Champions League last 16, second leg against Real Madrid just three days away, coach Unai Emery is taking precautions elsewhere. That means leading scorer Edinson Cavani is rested, while Kylian Mbappé has been left behind in the capital to continue his recovery from an ankle knock.
Mbappé hurt his right ankle in the first half of Wednesday's Coupe de France quarter-final win over Olympique de Marseille and did not reappear for the second half.
Javier Pastore and Marco Verratti have also been rested by Emery for the game at the Stade de l'Aube, while Marquinhos is battling to shake off a thigh injury in time for the Real showdown.
With so many players missing, Emery therefore chose to name Timothy Weah in his squad for the game. The 18-year-old son of former PSG star, and current Liberian president, George Weah will be hoping to appear in a top-team game for the first time.
