The LFP's Disciplinary Commission has ruled that the Week 16 clash between Metz and Lyon - abandoned after pyrotechnics were thrown on to the pitch - will be replayed, behind closed doors.

The Commission, which met on Thursday, January 5, also ruled that Les Grenats will have three points deducted from their tally, although one of those points will be suspended, effectively, making it a two-point penalty should no further incidents occur.

The match will be replayed at Metz's Stade Saint-Symphorien, but behind closed doors on a date to be determined by the LFP's Competitions Commission.

The original fixture was abandoned by referee Lionel Jaffredo in the 31st minute after firecrackers were thrown at Olympique Lyonnais 'keeper Anthony Lopes, who suffered trauma to his eardrums.

The points deduction sees Metz slip back into the drop zone - 19th place - while Lyon, currently in fourth place, could take a big step closer to third-placed Paris Saint-Germain, currently five points clear of Les Gones, with a win in the replay.
