Monaco signing Maazou crocked
Moussa Maazou will have to wait several months to return to action for Monaco after twisting his knee in training on Monday.
Nigerien international striker Moussa Maazou was struck a serious blow less than a week after signing on loan for Monaco when he twisted his knee in training on Monday.

Further examinations on Tuesday confirmed the gravity of the injury and the 22-year-old will undergo surgery on Wednesday. Club representatives couldn’t put an exact duration on the length of his absence from action, saying only that he would be absent for ‘several months’.
Maazou spent the second half of last season on loan in Monaco - where he played a key role in the run to the final of the Coupe de France - from parent club CSKA Moscow.
After a subsequent loan move to Bordeaux in the first half of the current season ended acrimoniously, the powerful forward returned to the principality at the end of January, making just one appearance - in the 0-0 Week 21 draw with Marseille - before injury struck.
