Pastore finally over calf injury?
Paris Saint-Germain's Javier Pastore has undergone successful calf surgery in Madrid and could be back in time for the capital club's Ligue 1 Conforama match with Dijon FCO on Saturday.
The Argentina midfielder missed his country's 3-1 win over Ecuador on Tuesday - which secured their automatic qualification to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia nest summer - instead spending much of the last two weeks in the Spanish capital with a biomechanics specialist.
A persistent calf injury has restricted the 28-year-old playmaker to just 22 starts over the last two Ligue 1 Conforama seasons until now. Pastore trained in isolation back at PSG on Tuesday, and is reported to have felt no pain, though.
The chances of him starting for the first time since the 30- win over AS Saint-Etienne in August are further improved with Marco Verratti and Thiago Motta struggling with injuries of their own.
