PSG's MCN and Falcao in Ballon d'Or running
Paris Saint-Germain trio Neymar Jr, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappé as well as Monaco sharpshooter Radamel Falcao have been named among the contenders for the 2017 Ballon d'Or.
The Ligue 1 Conforama quartet were on the 30-strong shortlist for the award when it was released by France Football on Monday.
Neymar, who joined PSG in a world record transfer this summer, won the Copa del Rey with former club Barcelona this calendar year, and — ironically — was inspirational in the Catalan giants' landmark UEFA Champions League performance against PSG last season, overturning a 4-0 first-leg deficit.

Cavani had a prolific year for PSG, finishing as the French top-flight's leading scorer with 31 goals as well as making significant contributions to his club's Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue triumphs.
Falcao found the net 30 times in 41 competitive outings as Monaco won the French title and reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. The Colombia international has scored 12 times in just eight league matches this term to continue his renaissance.
Mbappé also played his part in Monaco's success in what was his breakthrough campaign at the top level, one that led to him earning his senior international debut with France. The teenager's move to PSG in the summer has not slowed his progress, his two goals in his first five league matches for the capital club suggest this first nomination will not be his last.
