In his brief playing time with Paris Saint-Germain, Giovani Lo Celso has already shown himself to be a very special talent. Interview…

There were 18 minutes left when PSG coach Unai Emery sent on Giovani Lo Celso in a bid to destabilise a determined Lyon. The move paid instant dividends, with the young Argentine midfielder bamboozling Kenny Tete on the left, and setting up the opening goal.

For Lo Celso, the special moment felt like reward for all the hard work he's put in, ever since arriving in the French capital in January.

He told This is Paris: "My settling in period was quite easy because there are two other Argentinians here and a lot of South Americans. I'm used to their kind of culture. They gave me a very good welcome, the South Americans and the other players for that matter, so I felt at home here very quickly.

"The technical staff and the experienced players are always trying to help the younger players. It's very useful for me because I'm surrounded by team-mates who've experienced an awful lot at the highest level of world football. I try to listen to them, to learn from them and to continue improving.

"Neymar raises the standard in every respect"

"Playing with players of that quality helps you grow and improve, both on an individual and a collective level. Having a player like Neymar, it raises the standard in every single aspect. From a footballing point of view, I don't need to say anything because he shows what he's capable of in every match.

"Of course everybody has goals every player wants to be out on the pitch, playing as much as possible. I know that there are many great players at this club. Slowly but surely though, I'm playing more and more - and that feels good. So yes, my aim is to play more minutes, more games. That's important and every time I play it gives me a boost.

"The most important thing is to help the team. If I can contribute goals or assists, that's even better. But the most important thing is to play and to play well for the team.

"Team has really been strengthened"

"The team has really been strengthened. Some top-level players have arrived. We have to keep on fulfilling the objectives of this big club, and that means trying to win every competition we play in. The cups, the league and ultimate dream the Champions League.

"We've made a good start to the season, beating Monaco in the Champions Trophy. Winning all our first league games is also important. When you start well like that it gives you strength. We have to keep going like this. We have a big season ahead of us and we plan to give it our best shot."
