Statattack Week 10: Les Canaris on the attack!

Ligue 1 Conforama > News

FC Nantes stepped on the gas up front in their 3-0 win over Troyes; Zlatan Ibrahimovic's double against Bastia confirmed his importance to the PSG machine; and Nice's new signings continued to shine.

FC Nantes

Les Canaris hadn't scored three goals in a Ligue 1 match since their resounding 6-2 win in Valenciennes on April 20, 2014, and their fans at the Stade de la Beaujoire hadn't seen three goals from their team since the 3-0 win over Evian TG FC on October 5, 2013.

Michel Der Zakarian's men took 20 shots in their Week 10 clash with promoted Troyes, their highest such tally since September 20, 2014 (20 shots in a home game against OGC Nice). It was also their second-highest number of shots in a Ligue 1 match since their return to the top flight (21 shots at home to ASSE on May 10, 2014).

It's a statistic that also shows to what extent Les Canaris work as a team: no fewer than ten different Nantes players had a shot on goal in the big win over Troyes.

The best performances

14: OGC Nice's summer signings - including Ligue 1's seven-goal top scorer Hatem Ben Arfa - have scored 14 of the Côte d'Azur club's goals this season. That's as many as Nice's recruits from the summer of 2014 scored over the entire course of the 2014-15 season.

15: Comfortable 2-0 winners over Bastia, Paris Saint-Germain haven't lost a Ligue 1 match where the scores were tied a 0-0 at half-time since December 4, 2013 (Evian TG FC 2-0 PSG) - that's 15 matches (nine wins, six draws).

75%: This season, Monaco - who drew 1-1 at home to Lyon on Friday - have scored three of their four home goals with headers from corners.

80%: The scorer of Lille's goal in the 1-1 draw in Guingamp, Sofiane Boufal has ben driving Les Dogues' results this season - he has scored four of their five Ligue 1 goals.

94%: In the last 33 Ligue 1 matches in which OGC Nice captain - and lucky charm - Mathieu Bodmer has scored, his side have won 21, drawn ten and lost just two.

33%: SM Caen's Julien Féret - who got the lone strike in his high-flying side's win in Reims - has been directly involved in four of his side's 12 goals this season (two goals, two assists).

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's second successive Ligue 1 double - in the 2-0 win over Bastia - confirmed the importance of the giant Sweden striker for Laurent Blanc's side.

In 97 Ligue 1 matches, Ibrahimovic has either scored or set up at least two goals on 32 different occasions. That is, he has scored at least two goals, provided at least two assists or produced at least one of each in just under 33% of his top-flight appearances for the capital club.

In 2015, Ibrahimovic has proven decisive 25 times in 19 matches - 17 goals and eight assists - and the current season, he has managed to score from exactly half of his on-target shots (six on-target shots, three goals).
