Statattack Week 22: Nene the Prince of the Parc
07/02/2012
PSG forward Nene has a taste for goals at the Parc des Princes; Montpellier keep the goals coming; and Jussie joined an elite club with his lightning strike against Toulouse.
Key statistic for Week 22
4: Paris Saint-Germain's rousing 3-1 come-from-behind win over Evian at the Parc des Princes on Saturday saw Brazilian winger Nene bag his fourth brace of the season - the same number of double strikes after 22 rounds that he managed throughout the entire course of last season. The PSG top-scorer has notched all 11 of his goals this season at the Parc des Princes, including six penalties - making him the most successful penalty taker in Ligue 1 this campaign - and had scored more than a third of his goals in the final 15 minutes of matches (four of his 11, or 36%).

Team performances
20: Montpellier are proving irresistible in front of goal, their 1-0 win over Brest on Saturday marking the 20th of their 22 Ligue 1 fixtures this season in which they have found a way past the opposition 'keeper. No other Ligue 1 side has done better this campaign. Against Brest, René Girard's men took 25 shots on goal - a club record this season - with eight of those efforts on target.

1: In beating Dijon 2-1 in Burgundy, Valenciennes registered their first away win of the season, breaking a travelling hoodoo that stretched all the way back to April 17, 2011, when they triumphed 1-0 over relegated Arles-Avignon. Daniel Sanchez's men enjoyed 54% of possession against Dijon and proved ruthless in front of goal with both of their two shots on target, from Renaud Cohade and Gaël Danic, finding the back of the net.
9: PSG's win over Evian was their ninth league triumph at the Parc des Princes this season. After playing just 12 matches on their home turf, the capital club has already equalled their tally of home wins from last season (nine home wins from 19 matches), giving them a home record second only to Montpellier.
Individual performances

28: It took Brazilian midfielder Jussie just 28 seconds to find the net in Bordeaux's 2-0 win over Toulouse on Saturday, making him the second-fastest goalscorer in Ligue 1 this season after teammate Jaroslav Plasil, who took just 15 seconds to score away to Nancy in December. OM's Loïc Rémy, who scored after 29 seconds away to Dijon in Week 12, rounds out the top three fastest goalscorers for the season.
1: Nice's Esmael Gonçalves scored the first goal of his Ligue 1 career against Ajaccio on Saturday, pouncing with five minutes left to rescue a valuable 1-1 draw in Corsica. The Portuguese youngster opened his account in his sixth Ligue 1 appearance - the fifth this season - after just 131 minutes played among France's elite.
3: When he opened the scoring in VA's 2-1 win in Dijon, Renaud Cohade equalled his best-ever goal tally in a Ligue 1 season with three goals, something the midfielder hasn't achieved since season 2007-08. Apart from his strike, Cohade also stood out against Dijon as the busiest player on the pitch, with 88 balls played.
