Trézéguet: Mbappé should stay at Monaco
AS Monaco legend David Trézéguet has urged teen sensation Kylian Mbappé to resist offers from elsewhere and stay with the newly crowned Ligue 1 champions.
Mbappé is just 18 but he has scored 15 goals and provided eight assists to help the principality side wrap up the title. He also stood out on Monaco's run to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, and has broken into the full France squad. It has been a remarkable rise for one so young, and the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United have been linked with mega-money moves for his signature.
But Trézéguet said: "I think he has everything to become a forward with an exceptional future. He needs to be given time. He is enjoying himself, he is happy, he is proud. At his age, it is unique. There is a lot of talk about his future. Personally, I hope he stays at Monaco and keeps showing what he can do there.
"We must not forget he is only 18. He has time yet to get to know the top level, even if he is already at a club at a very high level. All of us in time would like to go to Real, Barca or Juve."

Trézéguet, a star of Monaco's last title triumph in 2000 who went on to star for Juventus and is now 39. He was 22 when he left the Stade Louis II and he said the recent case of Anthony Martial shows that there is no need to rush to leave.
"I think he still needs to assert himself further. At Monaco recently there was the case of Martial. He left Monaco for Manchester United and it was much more difficult. We are all aware of Mbappé's qualities, but mabe do one more year. That could be good for him, for Monaco and for France."
