New Ligue 1 ball set for Moroccan debut
24/07/2011
Wednesday's Trophée des Champions in Tangiers will mark the debut of Puma's brand new Ligue 1 ball - the official ball for all of France's top-flight competitions from Ligue 1 to the Coupe de la Ligue.
Available in French stores since June, the new pink and white ball makes its official debut at the Trophée des Champions in Tangiers, Morocco, on July 27 when Ligue champs Lille take on current Trophée des Champions holders Marseille.
PUMA ball a hit
In just two seasons, the official Ligue 1 ball, designed and constructed by PUMA, has won over the stars of the French championship.
It ensures a level playing field, as it is the only ball used by all the clubs in official competition, and it ensures quality, because the touch and flight of the ball is unanimously heralded by the players. After the yellow ball, launched last winter, the new PUMA ball features new colours and further innovations for the 2011-12 campaign.
