The last time OM won the Ligue 1 Conforama title, they did so with a record-setting winning run on the road that ended at nine the following season… check out who has come close to besting Didier Deschamps' legendary side…
Olympique de Marseille's last Conforama Ligue 1 title also left its mark on the championship's historic records. The Olympians set a new league record for wins away from home, triumphing outside Marseille nine consecutive times from 15 February 2009 to 8 August 2009.
The run spanned two seasons - and a change in coaches, as Didier Deschamps replaced Belgian boss Eric Gerets in the summer of 2009 before taking the club to its first title since 1992 in May of 2010.
Full circle in Monaco
Under the Belgian coach's guidance, the Olympians began the run with a 0-1 win over neighbours Monaco thanks to a goal from Baky Kone in Round 24. Marseille would taste defeat on the road for the first time six months later - on the very same pitch at the Stade Louis II when AS Monaco took their revenge on 4 September 2009.
Fittingly, the principality club are OM's runners up when it comes to this record - having won eight consecutive away games in 2017 - as are Paris Saint-Germain, who achieved the feat in that same season.
