Since season 2007-08, Girondins de Bordeaux have carved out a niche as the club that regularly produces the fastest - if not the finest - goals in Ligue 1 Conforama.
While Michel Rio's historic Ligue 1 Conforama record of scoring after just eight seconds - for SM Caen on 15 February, 1992 - has not been in danger in recent seasons, Girondins de Bordeaux have established themselves as the club most likely to set a new benchmark in the domain.
Gouffran sets the standard
Yoan Gouffran has led the charge for Les Girondins, scoring the fastest Ligue 1 Conforama goal in the last 12 years - just 13 seconds into Bordeaux's 4-2 win over AJ Auxerre on 7 May 2012.
That's one second faster than two other Girondins: Jaroslav Plasil against ASNL on 4 December 2011 (2-0) and Valentin Vada in a derby against TFC on 21 January 2017 (1-0). All three matches were won by Bordeaux, who clearly enjoy taking an early lead and hammering home their advantage.
