Olympique Lyonnais came from two goals down to draw at Stade Rennais FC on Saturday and secure the symbolic title of autumn champions as Mauricio Pochettino got his first win in charge of Paris Saint-Germain.

Lyon’s unbeaten run looked set to come to an end after 15 games as they trailed 2-0 in the second half against Rennes at Roazhon Park, Clément Grenier and Benjamin Bourigeaud both scoring for the home side.

However, Lyon displayed terrific resolve as they snatched a point with two goals in the final 11 minutes. Memphis Depay chested the ball down and volleyed in his 11th of the season to give Rudi Garcia’s team hope and the Dutchman then crossed for Jason Denayer to head in the equaliser.

The result means OL are top at the season’s halfway stage, a point clear of both reigning champions PSG and LOSC Lille, who both ground out victories on a freezing Saturday evening.

Kean sets PSG on way

After drawing at AS Saint-Etienne in his first game at the helm in midweek, Pochettino got his first PSG victory, Moise Kean setting the capital club on their way to a 3-0 success against Stade Brestois 29 behind closed doors at the Parc des Princes.

Kean nodded in his ninth Ligue 1 Uber Eats goal from almost on the line after a Marquinhos header from Angel di Maria’s corner had come off the post in the 16th minute. Kean was then replaced by Mauro Icardi in the second half and the Argentine made it 2-0 after being set up by Kylian Mbappé (81’). Pablo Sarabia, another substitute, then fired in PSG’s third with seven minutes left.

Yilmaz wins it for Lille, OM held

Lille bounced back from their home loss to Angers in midweek with their 1-0 win against Nîmes Olympique at the Stade des Costières. Burak Yilmaz got the only goal in the first half, converting from close range after Lucas Deaux could only turn a Jonathan Bamba cross into his path.

Christophe Galtier’s side are third, behind PSG on goal difference, but the gap down to the sides below is now six points. AS Monaco are up to fourth, above Rennes on goal difference, after beating Angers SCO 3-0. Olympique de Marseille are a point further back in sixth after drawing 0-0 at Dijon FCO. However, OM do still have two games in hand.
