Captain Memphis Depay scored both Olympique Lyonnais goals in their 2-1 success at Nantes that kept it a four-way title race in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.

THE MATCH:

Rudi Garcia kept faith with the eleven that started the 3-0 win over Angers in Round 32 and his faith was vindicated as Depay opened the scoring early (5'). Lucas Paqueta was the creator and Depay was played onside by Jean-Charles Castelletto. The finish was sublime as the forward clipped the ball with the outside of his right boot, bamboozling Alban Lafont in goal.

Islam Slminai was at centre-forward with Paqueta playmaking and Karl Toko Ekambi operating on the right. The Cameroonian international was played in behind the defence by Paqueta and brought down by Lafont. Benoît Bastien pointed to the penalty spot and Depay converted from 12 yards to the left of a static Lafont (37').

Nantes managed their first attempt on target (52') when Ludovic Blas' shot deflected off Jason Denayer, making life easier for visiting goalkeeper Anthony Lopes. Les Canaris pulled one back on the hour when Lopes kept out Randal Kolo Muani's header from an Imran Louza corner but centre-half Nicolas Pallois followed up to score.

Nantes enjoyed a massive let-off (71') when Lafont messed up his punch of a Depay corner and Fabio was forced into a goal-line clearance to prevent a third OL goal. The win for OL meant only LOSC of the top four failed to win in Round 33 and Garcia's side are only three points off top spot. Nantes are still 19th, three points behind 18th-placed Nîmes.

THE PLAYER: Memphis Depay

Playing on the left-hand side of Olympique Lyonnais' attack has brought the best out of the side's captain. Following a double against Angers in Round 32 - goals that came after a five-match scoreless streak - the Dutch international forward was again on the goal trail at Nantes to take his haul for the season to 18.

THE STAT: 15

Lyon are unbeaten in their last 15 Ligue 1 away games (W9, D6), the longest run in the division.
