Paris Saint-Germain are off to the Coupe de France quarterfinals after defeating OGC Nice 3-1 on Wednesday night at the Parc des Princes.

PSG broke the deadlock in the 14th minute after Fabián Ruiz assisted Kylian Mbappé's goal. The Spanish player would again factor in the Parisians' second goal after Ousmane Dembélé's pressure led to a turnover from Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bu┼éka, leading to the Ruiz goal.

Despite PSG taking a 2-0 lead, Nice responded four minutes later to cut the deficit in half after a goal from Gaëtan Laborde. Following a tough first half against PSG, Les Aiglons had some positive momentum heading into the dressing room.

In the second half, the capital club's attack generated ten total shots and PSG restored their two-goal advantage after Lucas Beraldo scored his first-ever goal for the club in the 60th minute.

Nice's winless streak now stretches to six games across all competitions, with their last victory dating back to February 7 in a Coupe de France win against Montpellier HSC.

Francesco Farioli and his team will now have to shift their focus to the league as they face RC Lens in a crucial matchup as both teams are vying to finish in the European places next season. Nice are also in a winless skid in Ligue 1 as their last league win came on January 27 against FC Metz.

As for PSG, they have a thrilling matchup awaiting them in the Coupe de France semifinal against Stade Rennais. Luis Enrique and his team are also eyeing a bounce-back performance against Montpellier on Sunday, following a disappointing draw against Stade de Reims last weekend.
