World Cup winner and Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappé has been named as the world's most valuable player in a report by the CIES Football Observatory, with clubmate Neymar Jr not far behind.

Kylian Mbappé's rise to prominence over the last couple of seasons has been meteoric, but if the latest report from the CIES Football Observatory is anything to go by, his star is still rising.

The 20-year-old's transfer value is now estimated at a whopping €218.5m - €38.5m more than when Paris Saint-Germain signed him from AS Monaco in the summer of 2017 - no doubt on the back of his powering France to World Cup gold in Russia and his currently topping the Ligue 1 Conforama scoring charts with 13 goals.

Neymar still worth a pretty penny

Although Tottenham and England's Harry Kane is the only other player valued over €200m, Mbappé's capital club teammate Neymar Jr - who was signed for a world record €220m from Barcelona in 2017 - is third on the list, currently valued at 'only' €197.1m.

Hefty Depay day

However, after these two superstars in the top three, Ligue 1 Conforama's next-most valuable player - Olympique Lyonnais' Netherlands international Memphis Depay - is valued by the report at €84.3m.
