New Nantes coach Christian Gourcuff will leave team selection and tactics to Patrick Collot for Sunday's season opener at LOSC.
Gourcuff, 64, was appointed on Thursday as Vahid Halilhodzic's successor but it's Collot - who will stay at Les Canaris - as Gourcuff's assistant who will set up Nantes on Sunday against the club where he was a player and enjoyed two spells as interim coach.
Collot said: "Monsieur Gourcuff is letting me organise the game based on the work that has been put in and that's respectful from him. He's letting me pick the system I want and as we've used 4-3-3 for quite some time we're going to use that system. He'll be with us on the bench and in the dressing room. He'll accompany us."
Throughout his coaching career, one that has encompassed spells at Rennes and Lorient, Gourcuff has had an overwhelming preference for 4-4-2.
