Portugal international forward Rony Lopes has left AS Monaco and Ligue 1 Conforama to join La Liga giants Sevilla FC.

On Wednesday Lopes signed a five-year deal with Spanish club Sevilla FC the principality club announced just a few minutes after touting their own signature of France international Wissam Ben Yedder, who made the opposite journey, from the south of Spain to the Riviera.

Rise and rise...

Rony Lopes was signed by AS Monaco in 2015, while he was Manchester City, and then loaned him to LOSC for a season and a half. Returning to the principality in 2017, he played his way into the Portuguese team after a very good 2017-2018 season that saw him clock four assists and 15 goals, nine of which came in a record run of eight consecutive games with at least one goal scored.

Rony Lopes was  a starter in the opening round of the Ligue 1 Conforama season when OL came calling on Friday (0-3), his 125th and final appearance in France's top flight (26 goals).
