Jocelyn Gourvennec (Guingamp coach): "We went through every emotion in this match. It was a really very bizarre and you only get games like that in the Cup. We started well but then they went down to 10 and we lost the thread in an inexplicable manner. We needed to lift our heads for the second half and the goal we scored 20 seconds into the half galvanised the team and lifted the stadium. Marco (Caillard) is so strong on penalties, a real specialist in the exercise."
Leonardo Jardim (Monaco coach): "The first half was better than the second half but we played most of the game with 10 men. With the fatigue we had in the second half, we weren't able to keep the same attacking intent. Gelson Martins didn't play much at Atlético Madrid and Golovin had cramp. I liked the attitude of the players and their commitment. These are things I want to see from my team. I want them to be organised and win 50-50s. We'll now work on those aspects for the league and we'll do everything to secure our objective of staying up."
