Fresh from relegation to Domino's Ligue 2, EA Guingamp have announced an amicable separation from two-time coach Jocelyn Gourvennec.

Jocelyn Gourvennec and EA Guingamp, who have been relegated to Domino’s Ligue 2, have made the "mutual decision" to end the contact that bound them, the Brittany club announced on Wednesday.

"After each having taken the time to reflect, but above all having taken enough time to discuss things openly and honestly, the two parties have made the mutual decision to put an end to their collaboration. The Club would like to thank Jocelyn for his unforgettable contribution to its recent history and wishes him all the very best for his future career."

Gourvennec leaves Guingamp once more

Meanwhile, Jocelyn Gourvennec, who steered EA Guingamp to the Coupe de la Ligue BKT final this season, made his farewell, "affirming his undying attachment to En Avant and thanking the Club, its Pesident, directors, employees, volunteers and all the fans for their show of faith and confidence and support that never wavered throughout his time at the club".

Gourvennec returned to the club in November to replace Antoine Kombouaré, two years after his first stint with Guingamp ended (2010-2016).
