After seeing red in Week 36, Paris Saint-Germain's Brazil defender Marquinhos learned the duration of his suspension when the LFP's Disciplinary Commission convened on Wednesday.

Marquinhos, Paris Saint-Germain's captain in the absence of compatriot Thiago Silva, will not be eligible to take the field at the Parc de Princes when the Champions of France look to celebrate their Ligue 1 Conforama title against Dijon FCO on Saturday (21:00 CET). The central defender was suspended for one match (plus a suspended supplementary one-match ban) by the LFP's Disciplinary Commission, which met on Wednesday.

In PSG's 2-1 win away to Angers SCO last Saturday, Marquinhos received a red card for holding back Wilfried Kanga in the area in the dying stages of the match. It was his first send-off in his 159-match Ligue 1 Conforama career.

The list is long

The 25-year-old - who will be joined on the suspension list by Marco Verratti, Presnel Kimpembe and Juan Bernat, all of whom accumulated three yellow cards in a ten-match period, as well as Neymar, out for the rest of the season after an altercation with a spectator - will once again be at coach Thomas Tuchel's disposal when the capital club travels to Stade de Reims for their Week 38 clash on the final day of the season.
