Paris Saint-Germain may be enduring a difficult run, but Neymar's return to form and fitness is at least one ray of light for coach Thomas Tuchel.

PSG obliterated the field in claiming their eighth Ligue 1 Conforama title this season, but have only won one of their last seven games in all competitions, with the domestic title - mostly - in the bag.

Looking sharp

Neymar Jr. had been out since fracturing a metatarsal in his foot in January, but he returned for the 3-1 win over AS Monaco in Week 33, and hasn't looked back.

"He's just returned and I'm quite surprised because he played 120 minutes against Rennes [in the Coupe de France final last Saturday] and 90 minutes against Montpellier [on Tuesday]," explained the coach.

Neymar's penalty against Nice was his 50th goal in 57 games.

"He played a full game [against Nice] too, and, unfortunately, he couldn't score that second goal. It's a pity but he's doing well, and all dangerous play comes from Neymar."

Records

Neymar's penalty secured a 1-1 draw against Nice on Saturday. It was also his 50th goal in just 57 games in all competition with PSG since his summer 2017 move from Barcelona.

"Neymar needs to play high on the pitch because that's how he's the most dangerous," Tuchel concluded.
