Victor Osimhen left the field feeling dizzy after scoring in LOSC's 3-0 win over AS Monaco in the Coupe de la Ligue, but coach Christophe Galtier has allayed fears concerning his top scorer's health.
Osimhen, who has bagged nine Ligue 1 Conforama goals this season, opened his cup account inside the first 20 minutes at the Stade Louis II, but headed down the tunnel for a medical check moments later having felt dizzy whilst celebrating.
'Everything back to normal'
His replacement Loïc Rémy rounded off the scoring with a brace, but concern remained for the Nigerian international, who was taken to a hospital in Monaco. Galtier has now confirmed that everything is ok.
"We just talked to him and he's fine," the coach explained at his post-match press conference. "Everything's back to normal. He experienced dizziness and pain."
Whether Osimhen starts when LOSC take on Monaco once again, in the league, on Saturday, remains to be seen.
