Olympique Lyonnais coach Bruno Genesio felt his side have every reason to hope for the best in the return leg after holding Barça to a 0-0 draw in their UEFA Champions League last 16 first leg clash in Lyon on Tuesday.

UEFA Champions League, Last 16, first leg
Groupama Stadium, Lyon
Olympique Lyonnais 0-0 FC Barcelona
Bruno Genesio (Olympique Lyonnais coach): "This result leaves us with every chance in the return leg. We kept a clean sheet at home, which is always very, very important in Europe. It's not outrageous to think that, if we can score at the Camp Nou, we will be in with a chance of qualifying. Anything can happen, especially as we will have an extra asset in the form of Nabil [Fekir, suspended for Thursday's match]. Still, Barça showed a lot of maturity and control in their possession game and proved that they're still one of the best teams in Europe. We lifted our game accordingly and that showed that we are making progress. This was a match we would certainly have lost last season."
Ernesto Valverde (FC Barcelona coach): "Given the number of chances we created, we can't be satisfied with the result, but then it's never easy to win away in the Champions League. We can't deny that we were hoping for a different result but we clearly dominated and created chances. We couldn't convert them but we tried to score in every way imaginable. That's why I'm happy with the match and very pleased with my team."
