Thomas Tuchel (Paris Saint-Germain coach): "It's easy to explain: we gifted them two goals in the first half. We completely controlled the match for the first 30 minutes. We played with a lot of quality, with a good mentality and a great reaction after we gifted Manchester the first goal. We had a lot of chances. And then, with out any chances to speak of, Manchester scored a second. That turned the match upside down for us. I never got the impression that Manchester United had come here to win. But they did, and congratulations to them."

Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain defender): "It was a nightmarish night. We got knocked out once again even though we were holding all the cards. We didn't do what we had to do. The result was perhaps undeserved. Manchester came here to defend and to make the most of our errors, and we made too many of them. There's not much more to say. All the fans are upset, and so are we. We need to take a good, hard look at ourselves and figure out what worked and what didn't so we can come back stronger next year."

Nasser al-Khelaïfi (Paris Saint-Germain president): "I have confidence in my coach. We'll see whether he decides to make changes to the team or not. But just because you lose a match doesn't mean you have act right away. We have to make decisions with cool heads. Now is not the moment. We want to calm down and we want to see what the coach wants as well. That's very important."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (Manchester United coach): "Of course we fancy ourselves. We can go all the way, but we just have to wait for the draw and take each game as it comes. We've had loads of injuries, suspensions, but that was maybe a good thing today as we had a fresh team, loads of energy. We knew we had to defend, be humble enough to work hard and we had a team to do that. I keep doing this job as best as I can and let's see where it takes us. It has been a fantastic time with the players and the staff I've got working with me, I'm going to enjoy this job as long as I've got it - I'm going to smile."
