Olympique Lyonnais captain and France star Nabil Fekir sat down with the Ligue 1 Show to discuss the stand-out characters and moments from his six seasons, 134 matches and 52 goals in Ligue 1 Conforama.
"Bordeaux, from the half-way line. I saw the keeper off his line, so when the ball came to me I had a go, with my right foot too. It looked good as soon as I hit it, and because the keeper was off his line I got the goal!"
"The derby at Saint-Etienne! 5-0! It was a great game, at their place too, we know the rivalry that exists between Lyon and Saint-Etienne so it made it even better. What happened afterwards in terms of the pitch invasion, my intentions weren't to cause trouble, but no regrets about the celebration. It was tough for them, but we were all delighted that evening!"
"The penalty I missed against Lille last season. It was a difficult game, we were 1-0 down, and I missed the chance to get us back into the game, so it was tough to accept. The keeper saved it but I didn't hit it well."
"Gueida Fofana! We got on very well outside of football, so on the pitch we would find each other easily! "He had so much talent. He doesn't play anymore unfortunately but we are still good friends, he's a really great guy!"
"Thiago Silva, what a defender! He's intelligent, his anticipation is second to none, he's one of the best!"
"Alexandre Lacazette! He's a top forward, he understands the game. It's easy to play alongside him. His passing is good, he finishes well, he can win games on his own. It was a pleasure to play with him.
"Here in Lyon, against PSG last season. We won 2-1, the crowd really got behind us and pushed us all the way to score in the very last minute. It really inspired us."
"Rachid, Rachid Ghezzal. He can be stupid, funny, he set the mood for the rest of us, a funny guy!"
