France international Clément Grenier has made the switch from EA Guingamp to Brittany neighbours Stade Rennais FC, signing a three-year deal to join Sabri Lamouchi's promising squad.

With his career back on track after an excellent six months with Guingamp in the second half of season 2017-18 (16 matches, five goals and four assists), France international Clément Grenier (five caps) has left Antoine Kombouaré's side - but he hasn't gone far.

The 27-year-old playmaker and free-kick specialist will now ply his trade just an hour and a half's drive away with Stade Rennais FC, where he is set to stay for three seasons. Sabri Lamouchi's side ended last season in stunning form and their fifth-placed finish in season 2017-18 means a return to the Europa League, a competition in which the European experience Grenier accumulated with Olympique Lyonnais after breaking into the senior team from the renowned youth academy.

Grenier is Rennes' fourth signing of the summer after those of Jordan Siebatcheu, Jakob Johansson and Romain Del Castillo.
