Ganso was delighted to have made his first Ligue 1 Conforama appearance despite Amiens SC slipping to defeat to LOSC Lille on Saturday.

The Brazilian came off the bench 19 minutes from time at the Stade de la Licorne, and played in Rafael Kurzawa for the hosts' opening goal in their 3-2 loss.

"I'm very happy to have played. We had agreed with the coach that I would come on at the end of the game. It's a shame we woke up so late. Lille played very well, but it's unfortunate we missed a penalty," said the on-loan Sevilla mdifielder, who saw teammate Moussa Konaté's 87th-minute penalty saved by Lille's Mike Maignan.

"I'm happy with my first assist. I have been very warmly welcomed by everyone at the club and the players so that has helped me settle in more easily. I hope to meet expectations and give back to the club what they have given me."
